Don Draper, also known by his real name Dick Whitman, lived a life of secrecy, lies, and self loathing. We meet Don Draper in episode one of Mad Men. At first glance Don Draper looks like the successful business man who knows his stuff, has the perfect life, and the perfect family. In the first episode we clearly see Don having a relationship while also being married to the identical version of Grace Kelly, Betty Draper. Automatically, any viewer of the show sees Don as a cheater, and of course cheaters (and alcoholics ehem) are not viewed as great people in the slightest. Don is smart, and he really knows how to keep his affairs on the down low while working as the big top creative director at Sterling Cooper.
